Technology Demonstration — Case Study

A 23-STORY RIVERFRONT HIGH-RISE — MIDWEST MARKET

A high-rise property evaluating a transition away from traditional rope-crew maintenance engaged DRIP for a full site consultation, multi-surface building assessment, and live drone cleaning demonstration — establishing the foundation for a modern, scalable exterior maintenance program.

Engagement Breakdown
Engagement Scope
DRIP was engaged to assess one of the region's tallest residential high-rises, situated along a major urban waterfront, as the property evaluated a transition from traditional rope-crew cleaning to drone-based technology. The engagement included a full site consultation, a multi-surface building assessment covering wall panels, window surrounds, trim lines, and recessed architectural features, and a live drone cleaning demonstration across multiple areas of the facade. The property manager had specific questions about drone performance at height — and we were able to execute the demonstration live, putting the technology directly in front of the decision-maker where it mattered most. FAA Part 107 certified drone systems were deployed to demonstrate access and cleaning performance at elevation, with ground-level coordination handled through DRIP's cleaning partners.
Key Insight
The assessment confirmed what the property's management team already suspected: rope-crew costs have nearly tripled since 2019 — yet coverage has gotten worse, not better. Cobwebs, trim buildup, facade discoloration, and ground-level maintenance were consistently going untouched. The live demonstration showed that DRIP's drone-led approach reaches what rope crews can't, at a cost structure that's predictable, repeatable, and budget-friendly year over year — a meaningful shift for any HOA weighing long-term capital planning.
Is Your Building Next?
If your building has been paying more for rope crews every year while certain areas still never get clean — cobwebs in the corners, buildup on the trim, facade grime creeping between service windows — a DRIP site assessment and live demonstration is the right first step. HOA boards and property managers use our evaluations to build a business case for transitioning to a maintenance model that's both more effective and more cost-efficient. If you'd like to see what drone-based cleaning can do for your property, we should talk.
